Pravasi Bharathi Radio, operated by Pravasi Bharathi Broadcasting Corporation in Abu Dhabi, is proud to be the largest Indian Radio Abroad and the world's first Malayalam digital radio. Since its inception on January 22, 2016, we have been at the forefront of delivering high-quality broadcasting to the Malayali expatriate community in the Gulf and beyond.

Our journey began with the launch of a state-of-the-art 200 KW AM DRM transmitter located at Maqta. This powerful digital transmitter was specifically designed to cover the entire GCC countries, ensuring that our broadcast reached every corner of the region. Combining AM and DRM technologies, Pravasi Bharathi 810 AM became the first DRM radio in the GCC, providing a unique listening experience in the Malayalam language.

In April 2019, due to technical reasons, we underwent a frequency change from 810 AM to 1539 AM. Despite this transition, the content of Pravasi Bharathi Radio continued to be well-received by our listeners. Our programming touched the hearts of every Malayali in the Gulf, offering a diverse range of content including hourly news bulletins, interactive discussions, live quiz programs, musical entertainments, drive-time shows, radio cartoons, and uninterrupted 24-hour transmission.

As a utility radio to the Malayali expatriate community in the Gulf, Pravasi Bharathi Radio holds a special place in the hearts of our listeners. Our commitment to providing rich and informative content has garnered recognition, with Pravasi Bharathi receiving three awards from the Government of Kerala for best reporting in the International Film Festival Kerala.

Our roadshows and live OBs (Outside Broadcasts) have been met with overwhelming support from the audience, drawing large crowds to our stage shows and roadshows. In March 2022, Pravasi Bharathi Radio made the pivotal shift from terrestrial radio to E radio to embrace the digital age and keep up with technological advancements. This transition has enabled us to reach listeners worldwide, extending our services beyond the GCC countries.
